Derek is Australian by way of England and has been in the games industry for over 28 years! He came to Australia’s fair shores in February 2008 and currently leads a team of over 20 multidisciplined programmers at Tantalus Studios Melbourne.


Derek has worked on a multitude of different games on several platforms including racing games, flight sims, first-person shooter’s, role-playing games, and real-time strategies. He is one of the primary educators at Tantalus and is involved in hiring new talent.
